Eltham's Drift is humble town situated on a dainty island just off the coast of somewhere or another. Little cottages can be found throughout the lush, green countryside or along the forgotten, foggy coast. It's the perfect place to spend a lifetime if you're fond of charming shops and mossy rocks.
This world was made on a medium map. There are approximately 75 lots in total, some of which have been left empty so that you can expand the town as you see fit. Because most routable areas are quite flat, you should be able to shift lots or create new ones with ease. Most major lot types are represented, including a hidden tomb for your sims to explore. This world was made with functionality in mind and it should work fairly well on some lower-end computers. It also includes several rabbithole recolors in addition to unique water and weather. All lots were made by me with the exception of the following two, which were made by littlecatsims:
Two Twenty One and
The Aspern Tallow.

Most of the names in this world come from various mystery novels and television programs. Yes, that includes Sherlock Holmes.

Overhead View ResidentsThis town has also been partially prepopulated, thanks to ninoosims, apocalypticautumn, and littlecatsims! Click each name for household previews and creator credits.
RequirementsEps: Base Game, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets
Patch: At least 1.33
CC:
Awesim's CornicesKnown IssuesWhen the world is loaded for the first time, you will need to save, exit to the main menu, and then reenter the world. This is to ensure that the fog emitter effects will show up properly. If you don't do this, you will have lots of weird foggy spots on the ground instead of pigeons and fireflies. You will only need to do this the very first time you open the world.
Since this world incorporates recolored world objects(like plants and rabbitholes), these recolors can "travel" to other saves if you play more than one world per play session. Likewise, default textures from EA worlds can "travel" to Eltham's Drift. Saving and exiting to the main menu and reentering the world will set things straight.
Remember that it can take several sim days for spawners to start behaving as they should. This is also true for treasure spawners, so I wouldn't go tomb raiding straight away if I were you.
CreditsI'm sure it's abundantly clear by now that I owe a lot of thanks go to
ninoosims and
littlecatsims who were
incredibly helpful throughout the process of making this world. You guys are the absolute best. I also want to express gratitude to everyone else that gave me feedback or encouragement.

It goes without saying that if anyone has trouble with this thing or has any questions, feel free to speak up!
You may also go ahead and use this in your own creations. Just keep it off of paysites and remember to provide me with a little credit. Please do not upload this elsewhere without asking permission.
Update: Aug 01,2012If you are experiencing issues with this world, you should first check if you have all of the required EPs and if those EPs are fully patched. For more information about checking your patch level and patching in general, please look
here.
Other issues may result from a bad installation.
Here's some information on how you can verify if a Sims3Pack has been installed successfully. Uninstalling and re-installing should fix a bad installation in many cases. Unfortunately, bad installations may sometimes be a symptom of a corrupt DCCache. You can find more information on fixing your DCCache
here.
Update: Oct 11, 2012I have uploaded various lots and rabbithole recolors for Eltham's Drift to be used in conjunction with the Supernatural EP. I've also included and alternative lighting and weather as well. You can find those things
here, if you are interested.
